I had a patient come into the ER to have staples removed after knee surgery (already not an emergency, but OK) And she brought a little jar so she could keep the staples!!! She wanted to make something out of them. um... ew.

"Neurovitals hourly" On a patient who spoke only German (we're near Ottawa, Ont., so some of us speak french, but no german), was severely demented and had no eyeballs. We still haven't figured out exactly how to manage that one.
