    Hello,
I recently got accepted into FSCJ's nursing program for 2013, and I have a few questions:
    1) When is it OK to register for classes? Is it required to wait until after orientation (which makes sense)? Must I meet with an nursing adviser first?
    2) When submitting background check and drug screen to Ms. Lee, do you have to call and make an appointment with her, or just take it to her desk? Does that paperwork have to be in it's own separate folder?
    3) Is there an interview process at orientation? I'm under the impression that they ask you questions such as "trace a drop of blood through the heart", "Name all the nerves in the CNS..." I want to make sure I'm studied up for this!
4)Where the heck do I find a 6 inch centimeter ruler?!

When do you register for classes? I got accepted for summer, do I make an appointment with an adviser now and get help choosing which classes I need to take, or do you have to wait until after orientation to register for classes? Also, is there a separate student ID for the nursing program (other than your standard student ID)?

Although they are the same classes, the TN school went by quarters and not semesters which is why I only received half credit. who would I talk to about maybe re-taking those classes?

Ah now I'm nervous! I'll call tomorrow when they open back up. :/

Does anyone have any experience with transfer credit issues? I took a few classes at a school in TN that went by quarters, and then transferred to Florida State college in Jacksonville. I am applying for the second time to the nursing program there, and my concern is that 2 of my classes transferred as 2.6 credits but need to be 3 credits. What do I do? Am I SOL and being forced to pick a different major? No one in advising is of any help. They flat out say that they have no clue. Also, I spoke with the head of the nursing department and they were no help. Anyone had this problem that can tell me what I need to do to resolve this, or anything??

I got accepted while still in Micro...
I knew I should have gone to that meeting! People never relay the information, it's like the game telephone. LOL I had over 200 points, I wonder if its because I live in Clay County? Idk, it's the first time I applied, but that doesn't mean anything.

It does say that on the application but it is not correct. Me and about 5 other people in my MICRO class all got rejection letters because we were still in MICRO, they need that grade to determine your eligibility. My lab partner went to the meeting the school held to discuss the letters, and that is what they said. I was sooooo upset/angry/disappointed. My best recommendation is that you apply after completing MICRO, and take Human Nutrition while waiting for your letter. Human Nutrition leaves you with the option to go to any other nursing program at other schools if it becomes necessary.

Always put an answer, there is no penalty for a wrong answer. The test is hard, I won't lie. So prepare yourself. I've heard that the book you can buy from the bookstore is no help. I was relieved after taking the test that I had reviewed all my course materials from A&P, CHEM, MICRO, PSYCH. But in all honesty I felt like I didn't get a single answer right, then I got my results and the tester said I did really good. A lot of mixed feelings!!!

I heard that it's really hard to get into the program and they only accept people who get nothing but straight A's, and once you do get into the program, if you even get a B in a class, they fail you?? Does anyone know this to be untrue?
