   Wow. I live in Central Illinois...but it still matters where you end up going. The university price is always higher than the local community college price, which is the route I took.

   That does sound unreasonably expensive. The RN program I'm entering into costs about $13,000. The CNA summer program I took last year only cost $642 for tuition.
