Ive been an ER nurse and get how fast paced the care is and how much pressure is on you to clear a patient out, ome way ot another. BUT here is what happened to me recently. I'm currently working a travel gig on a PCU. At the hospital, there is no re...
I think legally, MunoRN has the correct answer. It's wrong and we don't like it, but I've had a suspicion that this was the actual case regarding the law.
That's the most frustrating part of this, braty. My immediate supervisor supports me and when I asked for a drug test because I was accused she said no that she trusted me. But apparently this video tapping is a new thing because no one knows.
The reason I'd be unclear is that 1. You can recorded in public without your permission 2. The expectation of privacy is the patient's while in the patient's room and 3. Because even when a nurse is assaulted no one will do anything. What I did was...
There was a patient that was claiming none of the nurses were giving her the narcotics she was ordered, even though everyone made an effort to open the medicine in front of her. When I went in the room, she decided to whip out her cell phone and vide...
Yeah, I liked it in the travel forum because my understanding is they are hiring more than 200 travelers for this job. Any chance of it being put back?

I have to disagree slightly, Ned. I'm working for a sister hospital of one that I just left and see P&P changes. I find that to be one of the more frustrating things. But, on the other hand, I remind myself if I use my nursing logic to provide sa...
Yeah, IV's. What is it with every hospital having a different pump??? Nothing makes me feel more stupid! Hopefully, in time I will have every pump learned.
I've worked for Nurse Choice, an AMN company for the last 8 months in Winston. It was an EPIC conversion, but when I decided to move on, they begged me to stay as per diem working for Nurse Finders--since they were a sister company--as a PCU nurse. I...
The company that I work for does short term, but it's rapid response. You REALLY have to be ready to go quickly. The money is better, IMO. Nurse Choice.
Thanks for the link! However, I still don't see where it gives anyone permission to hold someone down and force IV's and foley's on them. They need to write the law a little more clear. I appreciate your help.
