  3. To those that have a long commute

It is do-able. I find if I leave a little earlier in the AM - even fifteen minutes, I can have less traffic. I drink my coffee and listen to talk radio and traffic(WTOP)! At night since I don't leave until about 8pm or later the commute is less.

I don't know if you will be getting automatic step increases with the wage freeze (federal workers) which includes civilians working in military hospitals, etc... Plus the civilian transportation benefit has been cut significantly as well. Last year...

Actually I am no longer working in VA nor living in VA - just the District and hold that current license.
  14. Staff RN's earn more than Nurse Manager?!

Our managers have 24/7 accountability to staff their units to ADC. If this done the House Supervisor then can use supplemental staffing resources to cover those unexpected call outs and or increase in census.
  15. License Issue

I moved to VA from a Midwestern Compact state (WI). I got a job in DC and applied for and received a DC license (not part of any compact). I also got a job in VA and since I was now domiciled in VA - I had to apply for a compact license from the Comm...
