   Chill on unemployment, and later apply again. I'm sure it's just the matter of miscommunication and chance. Next time you get a job, just make sure you get as many numbers of co-workers as possible and inform all of them in case of an absence.

4. New Grad with 2 offers, need advise r/t nurse pt ratio

   1:7 is horrible! In local hospital where I volunteered, my floor nurses had a ratio close to 1:7. It was so busy that they allowed me to take sugar and vital signs (obviously among other things that I was allowed to do) ; I was a volunteer!

   OK, go to your local Modells store and look for running socks. Work great!! They are very soft and you feel like you are walking on the mattress!

   When I volunteered in hospital in Brooklyn, NY, I was always asked to help to turn the patients. Ladies wouldn't even attempt to do without calling me first. And the male supervisor would just stand there and stare!
