Hello all. I was in the same boat when I graduated last year, though I am from Denver. I landed my first nursing job doing flu shots and met another new grad who introduced me to Supplemental Healthcare and they were the ONLY agency to take new grads...

I graduated last year and it took a long time for me to get approved most bc my transcript was lost by DORA 3 times. :/ I didn't test until the first week of August and I graduated May 16th
It was strange bc I was told that someone wanted to interview with me month ago and I told them I'm out of state and I needed some advanced notice and my email was never returned. I wasn't too sold on the Austin area so it's fine that it didn't work ...
I'm from and currently living in Denver so I'm pretty open to moving to anywhere. Relocation really isn't a big deal for me. It's just getting out of my current areas of nursing and doing something I WANT to do. I have an interview at MD Anderson in ...
I hate the search page for HCA....but the positions are for the Medical Center of Arlington. If you just search in North Texas and look for RN/GN positions they should show up. There's some for Med/Surg, L & D, Surgical Care, and a couple others
I guess I should be expecting the same emails as well then....no es BUENO!!!! But since I am a 'new grad' with 6 months of non acute experience, this was kind of expected.

maybe the situation will be different from mine, but as newer grad with about 6 months of experience, the market is terrible...so bad in fact that I'm apply to positions in Texas and if I am offered a job, I'm leaving...no questions.

I'm from Colorado so I'm not completely alone but I would like to move away eventually and as with you, midwest living was not for me lol. It's a different world out there. I heard about the hospital in Brownsville and I'm not against moving away at ...

Nurse901, I went to Xavier University of Cincy which isn't a no-name school and has one of the best nursing programs in that region but that really doesn't matter over here. I really lucked up bc there was no waiting list with their program, small cl...

I didn't know they weight so heavily on GPA and considering mine was just a 3.2 and compounded that I got my BSN outside of CO probably worked against me. I think the facility is great but it seems like its impossible to get into so if I really want ...
