  1. Share The Weirdest Reasons Patients Push The Call Light

During my clinical experience I had a confused patient who would constantly call my friend and I to help check her clothes in the "dryer", she would forget that she already told us to check for her missing clothes but then one day she called both of ...
  2. How do I clean the tubing of my Pink Littman?

I have the the Breast Cancer Awareness stethoscope and I had the same markings. My clinical was a lifesaver and told me "Armor all your stethoscope" I did that and the scuffs came right off. Hope that helps :)
  3. Night Shift eating habits...

I usually eat dinner right before my shift and drink coffee throughout the night until about 5am and have a piece of fruit so that way when I go home to sleep, I can wake up a little after lunch and have lunch and go on with my day.
  4. scrubs and ironing

Wow I didn't know so many people iron their scrubs, I've actually never even thought of it. I usually just wash and dry and fold them very carefully and end up with fold lines on my scrubs but oh well the folds go away by the end of the day.

  10. How are you paying for Midwifery school??

I know many nurses who still worked full time as nurses as they got their nurse practitioners. So perhaps you can still work part time? As for me I am currently paying my school tuition/ as well as part loans by working 2 days a week as a CNA.
  11. New CNA

I definitely feel for you- I worked as a CNA to pay for school and in my case not having help was normal. But if it is a threat to patient safety then I would speak to your charge nurse about it. When I started as a new CNA, I was definitely treated ...
  12. Interview help please!!!!...

I actually attended a new grad open house a month ago and my recommendation is be memorable. You will be in a room/ patio etc with about 100 potential nurses (at least in my case it was) and so its in your best interest to be memorable. My other reco...
  13. Working as a stripper AND a nurse

This may actually violate a professional code of conduct so check with your BON. I also remember when I was talking to the Nevada Board of Nursing they actually told me that they recommend my friends and I give up out partying/ clubbing/ dancing on t...

  15. Best shoes ever?

It seems that everyone has said they love their Danskos and Crocs and I definitely LOVE my Danskos. I know they can be quite expensive but if you happen to be able to find a Nordstrom Rack by your area they often get in Crocs for
