In my area, BSN programs typically look at overall GPA and ADN programs look at grades only from specified prereqs. I used that to my advantage. My overall GPA isn't great but I had a 4.0 in prenursing classes so I applied to 2 ADN programs and was a...
When I was a communications major, I did horrible in science classes. When I switched to prenursing I made As in A&P I & II and Micro because I knew I had to. If you go into the class knowing that grade can make or break your acceptance into ...
This is my 7th week and we've already lost some, too. A couple of people dropped for personal reasons and a few more didn't make it past our first dosage calculation exam (you get 2 tries to make a 90, if you don't get it, you're out right then). So ...
I'm not sure if anything has changed but for those of us that started this year, they only considered prereqs and PAX. There were no extra points for CNA or anything else. Make sure you attend one of the info sessions. They'll give you all the inform...
I'm a legal assistant and you wouldn't believe how many of these people I talk to every week. People will try to retain a lawyer over anything these days.

My advice is to apply to as many programs as you could possibly see your yourself driving to (ADN or BSN). It would be better to get your ADN now than to wait and reapply every semester for a couple of years for your BSN.
Augusta Tech is a good deal cheaper, and that is one reason I chose it. Our entire semester's tuition is only about $1,000.00 and my Pell grant will cover it.
We had to have completed A&P I&II, Micro, English I&II, Humanities, College Algebra, Psych, Sociology, and Computers. But decisions were made based 70% on grades from A&P I&II, Micro, Psych, College Algebra, and English 1101 (I ha...
Congrats! I too had 23 points and was accepted. But I was also accepted to the program at Augusta Tech and it ends about 5 months quicker, is more affordable, and is closer to home for me, so I am going that route. I hope we both have nice teachers w...
