Thank you for your posts. I've thought about seeing a speech pathologist with her but haven't as of yet. I will get a referral from her pediatrician. I'll also look into seeing a radiologist(again) as well. I did notice something later this even...

Thank you for your response!! She probably still does have a lingering infx of the lungs. I'll call her pediatrician tomorrow. (Monday) The weird thing is, just 4 days ago, we saw an ENT and he gave her a clean bill of health. She was original...

I brought her to the doctors 10 days ago. She did have crackles in her RLL and diminished lung sounds on her right side. She has just finished her antibiotic therapy. Thank you for the Scopolomine patch suggestions. As for the person who responde...
I am a GN student who has a 10 year old child with spastic quadriplegia CP, is 100% fed through MIC-KEY, has a nissen fundiplication, is non-communicative and is 100% dependent on all ADLS. She is having increasing difficulty handling her secretions....

No offense, but there must be more to it. I am in the 4th semester of school and I am not the top in the class when it comes to grades, but I do witness that those that are - well, some of them are still lacking in clinical/personal skills. Are yo...
I am in fourth term right now - 30 days until graduation. I was wondering if the CAP exams mimic the NCLEX? I am freaked about having to take the NCLEX since I am the type who studies last minute, gets 90's on the tests, aces my finals but barely p...

Jim, The thing is, you are planning on going on for your Masters. In that instance, a BSN is needed. But for those ADN nurses who do not plan on forwarding their education, there is no need to get a BSN. I know that a BSN is available online her...
Don't be crazy!! Go for the RN. Why waste time going for an LPN just to turn around and go to school to be an RN. Just go straight into RN school. I am sure that most LPN's who have turned RN would say the same.

ADN nurses are just as capable to do a job as one with a BSN. It all depends on the individual nurse. There are aweful BSN nurses and better ADN nurses and vice versa. I found that those graduating with a BSN are not as clinically skilled as those...

Jacksonville pays their RN's such different scales depending on where you work and what shift you work. They start new RNs out around $18-22, weekenders and nighters at $25. PRN's and agency nurses get andywhere from $25-ish to $50 an hour. As for...
I am in my last semester of RN school and was just wondering how other RN schools grade the students. I attend a community college in Jacksonville, Florida. Here is our grading scale: 94-100=A 87-93 = B 80-86= C 79 or below is failing
