Hi there, I don't know exactly how much they take out for taxes....it's about the same percentage that gets taken out from me at work. Goes on your tax return at the end of the year just like everything else, so you get it back if you overpaid.
  2. Nelrp

Nothing ever really happens on time with this program (I'm in my 3rd year amendment right now)......but everything comes eventually.. :)
  3. Nelrp

I haven't gotten mine yet either.........
  4. Nelrp

I am starting my third year with the NELRP---Just wanted to offer a little advice. Would be a good idea to put money away to pay your minimum payment for a month or two (or pay your loans ahead---especially when your payments from the NELRP start---...
  5. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

So you have your IVF's and your pitocin both on the pump?? (and antibiotics if you have them) How do you set it up??
  6. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

That is exactly how we used to do it....but now the hospital (and the state, like they know what they're talking about) insists that everything (even normal IV fluids) be run on a pump. They're not even happy about us having an anesthesia line, but ...
  7. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

some of the other staff agree with her, which stinks. Thank you so much for your input. I'll keep doing some research and checking back here to see if anyone else does their pitocin this way (I find it very bizarre). Thanks for your comments. Off ...
  8. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

No. all we have are triple pumps. they are ENORMOUS. Apprently the company doesn't make double pumps, which I find odd....would be a win all the way around
  9. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

Ah. thank you. we use KVO-keep vein open. The secondary line has its own program to set. The manufacturer says that you can run two things (even sensitive medications) at the same time at different rates, and they will, in fact, run at their indepen...
  10. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

Their argument is that you are still hooking the pit to the closest port to insertion, because it is going in through the pump tubing. If you need to shut the pit off, you need to shut the whole pump off. I don't agree either...........like I said, ...
  11. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

that is one thing that I actually never thought about! I'm not sure how much volume is there. I have both a call and an email out to the pump manufacturer to ask them.....because, on the other side of that coin--if you want to shut off your pitocin ...
  12. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

    I have a dumb question---what is tko?
  13. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

That's what I was thinking too. I wanted to run my pitocin on a totally different pump, and hook into the lowest y-site on the line running my IVF's..........they don't want us doing that "not cost effective for all of that tubing----limited availabi...
  14. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

Thanks for your replies. Yes, we have a mainline with no pump tubing at the request of our anesthesia department. that mainline is off, doubleclamped unless we need it. If we go down the hall for a c-section, they still have their fluids, you just ...
  15. Pitocin as a secondary on a pump?

Because the thought is that if you increase the rate of your primary IV fluids (for a bolus), it will then bolus the pitocin that is currently in the line..... Also, our pumps will only go to 999ml/hour, and we generally like our boluses to go faster...
