Please be careful of the type of certification you get. Most facilities require a hands-on class sponsored by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. My facility will not accept on-line certifications.

Don't think of it as cheap labor. If you add in your benefit package (vacation time, sick time, retirement, life insurance, ED Leave, tuition aid) it is far from cheap.
