I started my nursing job in Ortho/Neuro, I love Ortho pts than Neuro pts. For ortho pts, its challenging though and I will not say that its stress-free, giving routine or prn pain meds, hanging blood if hgb Just remember, nursing is interruptions!!!
For Ortho, just stick to the basic concepts of tractions. T-rapeze bar overhead is used to raise and lower the upper body R-equires free-hanging weights A-nalgesic is given to releive pain C-heck the pt ciculation (pulse) T-emp monitoring I-infection...
