   In the UK the Guthrie test isn't done so early. The midwife normally visits the mother at home to do the guthrie test on day 6. I was taught that we can't do it earlier because it isn't as accurate.

   I find it interesting that mothers who have their babies sleep in bed with them are criticised, but no-one criticises mothers who put their babies to sleep in a room on their own. Babies under 6 months should sleep in the same room as their parents, ...
