I wish I had went back to school for something else when I was younger. I stayed with nursing, and not a day goes by that I don't regret it. My back never stops hurting despite a, L5/S1 fusion with instrumentation in 1997. All you young nurses think ...
Thank you so much for your service to our great country. I put 7 1/2 years in the army during Viet Nam, so I am very aware of your sacrifices. Hopefully your life will be back to normal soon. We are here for you, and if we can help in any way, don't ...

I used to take 2 pairs of shoes and sox to work w/ me, then 1/2 way thru my shift I changed. One of the Docs made fun of me until he tried it, then he said it worked great. Be sure to change your sox too.

I woulda handed him the syringe and the insulin and said here, you give it, or allow me enough time to get a proper syringe. Then, if he chose to draw it up and give it, I would have documented it on the pt's chart.
I agree with you dawngloves. When I was younger and working in stressful situations all the time, I felt I was handling it just fine. In fact, I always considered myself to be "wired up backwards" i.e. the more critical the situation became, the calm...
