I know from working in a hospital pharmacy putting my self thru nursing school that Sod Bicarb works best to dissolve the granules. We use it at the hospital I work in now as a RN too.

I've worked 7p-7a in ICU for 1 1/2 years now, and we always say that if we have an empty bed, about 6am they will call a code. It seems to happen when some of our non-monitored floor nurses make rounds.
