Hi OkieNp! I did for a few sessions. It was very tough! I ended up doing a lot of work after bedtime, or while my husband watched the kids. It was very labor intensive, and I am not doing it any more.

To clarify- A DNP is a degree, it's only been very recently that certain universities is co-mingling specialized studies as a part of the actual DNP, verses combining a post- Master's certificate with the DNP coursework.

I'm still looking for options... I think that U of MN's program looks amazing, but it requires a bit more on campus time per semester than I can likely handle, being in CT with two small children. I'm also very interested in Frontier. Am I missing...
Has anyone here attended school at either University of MN or University of South Alabama? They both offer a combined DNP with WHNP, which just might entice me to go back for the doctorate. Alternatively, does anyone know of other combined DNP/WHNP ...

Good morning, I was in your wxact same boat dear. I ultimately became a FNP, and Am actually interviewing for an OBGYN position in 2 days. You are wise to understand that a FNP brings you more prospects in the job market, as you can work in many ot...
Yes-- I actually just emailed Sharon at Frontier to see if there was a way to combine the DNP and the post masters cert in midwifery-- i am a FNP already, and think that if I am to return to school for midwifery ( which I really want to do! ) I also ...
Sorry to be persistent, but I am not willing to accept that theory. I think they are/their methods are despicable and I'd like to hear from other who feel the same. Thank you!
Given that fact that up until recently NP's couldnt sign for samples in office from pharm companies, and many dr's tend to really seem to work well with the pharm companies: speaking for honorariums, trips, and all the perks that many received and ha...
ARGH! Isnt anyone else completely aggravated with the consumer directed advertising from the pharmaceutical companies?? I just saw a commercial for "Heavy Monthly Bleeding" with the advice to go to their website lighterperiod.com for more info, and...
