About sam027000

sam027000 has 1 years experience.

My nursing journey has been a winding road. At 17 I started college with plans to earn a BSN. Life happened and I had to drop from college during my 2nd semester of nursing school, junior year. I ultimately earned a BA in economics, and I’ve enjoyed a great career in marketing. Covid-19 hit and my company shed 10k+ associates to keep the business afloat. When one door closes often another opens. My unemployment has allowed me to re-evaluate what I want out of life. Ultimately I’ve decided to revisit nursing and work toward that BSN with hopes of starting an accelerated program in May 2021.

Married for almost 20 years; mom to one great kid, 2 senior pugs, one naughty pug puppy, and a lovable English bulldog.

    Baylor Fastbacc 2021

@Arash I’m right there with you. I’m not taking HESI until Dec 3. I am just not confident enough in the math section to take it sooner. I’ll be studying the NurseHub & Elsevier guides the next 2 weeks.

    Baylor Spring 2019 Applicants

Those are great grades, congratulations! I was told the FastBacc application will open on CAS in early June. I'm wondering if they will notify applicants about acceptance prior to the Traditional start date in January.

    Flip, Turn, Crush & Smear

Just looking for some opinions here. I am a nursing student and have been feeling like we do the same things everyday at clinical: assessment, bed, bath, adls, vs, meds, & the rare NG or foley. Today I asked my clinical instructor when we will be...

    Care Plans!!

Also, I was thinking that you may check the intranet of the hospital where you are doing your clinicals. The hospitals where we do our clinicals have a neat thing where you can click on the medical diagnosis and it gives you suggestions of nursing in...

These are two sites I've used in the past to get a few ideas as to what I should include in my careplans. I don't use their premade careplans, but rather just the site for ideas. http://www1.us.elsevierhealth.com/MERLIN/Gulanick/Constructor/#New http...
