I think it depends on the grade-levels you are seeing, too. In my high-school of about 500, I see about 10 or so a day, but the elementary school nurse with about the same number of students probably sees closer to 40 a day.
Get in contact with the other nurses in your district, too. They have been an invaluable resource for me. (I have been a school nurse for a whole 3 days, maybe we can hold each other's hands through email.) Linda

On the labor and delivery unit I worked on, our CNA's functioned as unit clerks as well as scrub techs in the OR for C-Sections. I was happy to have them there. Good luck in school, I hope you go for it. :pumpiron:
