    Hey all,
I have been an RN for a year. This is my second career. I completed an accelerated BSN program. I spent my first six months at an LTAC. I learned a lot and had some extremely complex patients. I left after 6 months, just in time. As the hospital I was working at increased the nurse to pt ratio and there was NO way I would be comfortable with 6 or 7 patients at an LTAC (almost all on vents, etc, etc...). So I left for a med/surg unit, where I was a student nurse for a few months. I absolutely love it where I am now.

Congrats guys! I took it today too and got the good pop up. Waiting for the unofficial results on Wednesday and then I'll feel much better about it. I have an interview that day too, so crossing my fingers!!!
I just logged on to Pearson's site to pay for quick results. The 'trick' was right! I PASSED! I was very skeptical (even in October when it gave me the CC screen...haha!). But it was right on. Interview this afternoon!

    Congrats shoe girl!!!

I took it today again (2nd time). I got around 105-110 questions. Not sure, because I wasn't paying attention. BUT, I did try the trick and it gave me the good pop up (last time I got the CC screen).

I failed in October, with 75 questions. The Pearson Trick was correct...brought me to the CC screen.

I finally retested this morning. It gave me the good pop up. I wish I knew how many questions I had. When I looked, I was at 105 and I believe I had a few after that and then it shut off, so maybe 110. Not sure. But I am praying the trick is right this time around!!!!!!!

I gradated from Research College of Nursing in May 2009, TO option. No, it's NOT guaranteed you will get hired by HCA after graduation. I know this for a FACT. Also, ask 23 of the AO students who are STILL looking for a job ANYWHERE because they can't get hired by HCA. These students just graduated in August 2009. PM me for more info. Don't believe the hype is all I'ma say.
I am one of the 23 AO's she was referring to. Luckily, for me, my loan was forgiven by HCA in November. So no 2 years w/HCA for me. Yay!

I am a student still. I chose the PICU for my capstone class, but unfortunately I didn't get it. I toured the PICU at Children's Mercy Hospital, in Kansas City and found it amazing. I just loved the atmosphere. Someday I hope to post here saying that I am working in a PICU somewhere.

I'm in an accelerated BSN program. I'm 27 and I'll be 28 when I graduate.

A friend of mine is going to start in August '10 (pending prereq's and interview, etc).

I am an AO student. Just over 4 months left. Let me know if you have any specific questions.

lyndeelou--- Where are you moving from? I'm doing the Rockhurst hours this semester and in the summer too. I'm not looking forward to them either (Philosophy & Theology= ). Are you on Myspace or Facebook? If so, PM me your info and we can keep in touch through one of those sites. I use them more often.

My mom will watch Evan when class is in session... so Mon-Thurs and any other times outside class hours (like Clinicals). My husband won't be able to watch him while I'm in class. He is an insurance adjuster and is in the office all week long. I'm going to miss being at home with my son, but I know he'll be in good hands. I've been staying at home with him since he was born. I am ready to have some adult interaction, that's for sure.

I am starting the AO program this August. I had a baby in April '07 and he'll be 16 months old when class begins. I am fortunate (I think...lol) to live 1 block away from my mother, who is a stay-at-home-mom to my 4 and 9 y/o siblings. She will be watching my son while I'm in class. I'm already expecting my stress level to go up when class begins. But just think...it will be all worth it. My husband and I plan to make Saturday's our 'family day'. I'll put the books away and we'll go do something together. It can work.

I was going to start in Aug '07, but there was no way I could have a newborn and do the program.
