  1. I go to the grocery store after work all the time. When we get to the store we grab a cart ( major organisms here). Even if you went home and showered, we would pick up more germs on those carts than a day at work, because we use are PPE.

    Your right, they need to be checked against the current orders. Sometimes it can take up to 1.5 hours to complete one re-cap. My facility pays overtime to do these so they are not rushed and in turn a decrease of med errors are seen.

    This should be shared by both nurses, it gets done faster and both are thanful for the help. If you both pitch in, one assess the pt. and one call the md., you both chart what you have done.
