  2. Do you sleep before your first nightshift?

I work 7p-730am, I always try to sleep at least 5 hours before going in to work, if not I will not have a good night. I was up this am at 330 am, will go take a warm shower, lay down around 0900 and read for awhile. I had to buy black out curtains, t...

  8. Shorting us of our NAs---WHY??

I am not an RN yet, however, I have 2 quarters left to go before I graduate. I am working summers at a hospital as an NA. I have been assigned up to 18 pts a day - this is ridiculous to say the least. I had one NA tell me they were assigned 21 pts on...
  9. Nursing Math 109

  11. Injections practice?

I am a nursing student in Ohio, we can't practice on each other or our family. I am a Medical Assistant and I always gave injections without the Dr present, never had to be supervised in any office to give injections. But when I was learning we pract...
  12. Barnes & Noble member?

definitely worth the $25, I have saved as much as $30.00 on one book, the average is probably 4-15 dollars on a book, definitely worth it.
  13. Question.....I'm kind of confused

I live in OH and here CMA's work more in Dr Office or clinic. They don't make what an LPN does, but an LPN is licensed, an MA Certified. However, an MA can give injections, and CNA, PCT, cannot. I worked 8 years in Dr Offices as a CMA and I loved it....
  14. Grading scale

We have to have an 80% to pass and that is considered a "C". Anything less, you don't go on and can only fail twice and your out. 80-86 = C 87-92=B 93-100=A A 76 or 78% would be a blessing for us.
