   When I was a tech in the Er and cleaning up I&D trays I almost got stuck with a needle. The docs are not suppose to leave any sharps in the room, the charge went and found him and made him go clean it up.

   If you go to Parkland, you will see a little bit of everything. I would think as long as you are a competent nurse with good recommendations you would be able to transition into any ER after your contract is through. Good luck.

   I looked over the NCLEX kaplan book for maybe 2 days. Did not do much more than that. I was also very sick of studying. I do not recommend doing what I did either. Most of my friends studied for over a month.

   My mom finished nursing school a year before me at your age, she had to study harder but her grades were a lot better than mine. She graduated with honors and is a great nurse. You can totally do it. Good luck!
