  1. Help! I think nursing is not for me!!

I found home care very stressful as well and I like you had a few jobs in a short amount of time (mostly casual positions). I just recently landed an interview for a full time position in LTC. it was hard to come by and I was nervous to explain why I...
  2. LTC in Canada: 1st Job

I personally really enjoy LTC. better shifts less stress and the same if not better pay. I found the hospital to be draining and I wouldn't pick up overtime if my life depended on it. But in ltc when they ask I have no problem working overtime. I und...
  3. Failed NCLEX in Canada 3 times

I have 2 friends that failed 3x as well and were able to write the RPN exam. They both passed on the 1st try. I would call the CNO and do that if it were me.
  4. Overweight Healthcare Workers

I couldn't agree more!! I worked with several smokers who took multiple breaks and expected you do to their work while they are on break. so annoying especially on night shift when there's only 5 nurses on the floor and 2 are out smoking together all...

  6. Going to be fired?

I hate to sound harsh but you should really consider another career than nursing. You are lacking judgement, insight and just plan basic nursing skills. I think there is a reason the hospital isn't making you full time and would rather have new grads...
  7. Finding employment in Ontario

Hi everyone! I have recieved several inbox messages about where to find employment in Ontario, Canada! Because I am new to the site I am unable to send private messages. I am posting this thread to hopefully get some feedback from fellow nurses abou...
  8. Practical Nursing Jobs Ontario

Try long term care! I know it's not most people's first choice but it was the only place willing to hire me as a new grad. I'm an RN but they only require 1 RN in the building the rest are RPNs. Give it a try though I honestly quite enjoy it!
  9. Passed NCLEX-RN Canada on the third try!!!

I found mine on kijiji but I'm from Ontario! I made sure she was reputable before paying her so try kijiji or Facebook. She was actually the only tutor I could find and I drove 2 hours to get to her but totally worth it now!
  10. Passed NCLEX-RN Canada on the third try!!!

Im glad to hear that!! And thank you very much! Like I said in the previous post it's never too early to start doing questions. If they are implementing it now in second year I'm sure you will have no problems with the exam! Best of luck to you on yo...
  11. Passed NCLEX-RN Canada on the third try!!!

Thank you very much! I live in Ontario Canada I've had 2 interviews so far one for home care, one long term care. I'm leaning towards the ltc position because it's full time!
  12. Passed NCLEX-RN Canada on the third try!!!

My average in school was 70-75% I was an average student. I wasn't great at tests in class but I did really well in clinical! I know a few people from my class that had and are still having difficulty with the exam. But a lot did pass on the 1st try....
  13. Passed NCLEX-RN Canada on the third try!!!

I think it's worth the money yes but I would also recommend using Saunders with the program. The videos are great but they are only about an hour long so it doesn't get into to much detail. It's a really good program if you just need a quick refreshe...
