That is a heavy course load with a lot of heavy classes. Micro and Patho might be easy from the outside looking in but if you're trying to grasp the material it's a lot to take at one time. Pharmacology is a lot in and of itself. Pluse Fundamental...
Go in with an open mind, you never know what you may fall in love with. I have classmates who love trauma, telemetry, critical care, some just love med-surg. Get in school, focus on the skills and knowledge, and let the clinical experience guide yo...

My book bundle was 700 dollars and required. Only 3 were hard copies and the rest were e-books. A total of 5 books to start then we had to purchase 2 more books in 3rd semester that totaled a little under 300 and a access code that was 100. It's ex...
Hi JulesA, I definitely understand what you mean. RN/NP in psych is a totally different realm than the therapeutic side. I have enjoyed having the opportunity to see how we approach the same situation in a different manner. Thanks so much for your...
Nusemel326 thanks so much for your encouragement! It really is refreshing to read different experiences and feel like I can still do all that my heart desires. I really appreciate it!

My school is pretty much as you posted OP. All 4 semesters are broken into Nursing I, II, III, and IV and that's what your schedule will read. The content for each semester is similar except we do Psych in 3rd semester.
Definitely be well rested and fed. In addition, review your head-to-toe assessment, have your drug book (we use Davis), review your VS and and remember hygiene! Also, make sure you have a pocket-sized notebook to take notes or write down pertinent ...
I have an iPad Air 2 but as SOON as I can afford the Surface Pro I will be switching over. If you can go with the Surface now, go for it! Apple products have limited memory that shoots the price up the more hard memory you get and they don't take U...
I'm not sure which book OP picked but I'm currently using Nursing Care Plans: Nursing Diagnosis and Intervention by Gulanick, Meg; Myers, Judith L. I really like this one because it has the care plans divided by diagnosis and/or systems. I bought it...
