About Dachshund9

Dachshund9 has 19 years experience and specializes in Neurology, Med/Surg, Orthopedic, Telemet.

After high school I was a Medical Assistant. I did that for almost 6!years. It sounds funny because that was 20+ years ago. Now Medical Assistants are seen everywhere, this is good:). I then was a nanny for many years, actually until I decided to become a nurse. I became a CNA then and worked on a Critical Care unit. That was the best experience I could have gotten. I was in school and working. I was offered a job while doing my clinicals on the hospitals Neuroscience unit. When I passed my test I just transferred up to the neurology unit:). It was great! I Sam still currently employed on the same unit, and I love it:).

Congratulations on a job well done!!! I knew you could do it:). I remember sitting on a airplane, on my way to CA for a wedding. We had not taken off yet and my best friend was waiting by her computer for the results to show, which was suppose to hap...
  6. It sounds like you wracked your brains like the rest of us:). The test automatically shuts off at 75 questions. Not to scare you and make things worse for you because I bet you did fine. The 75 question shut-off of the computer is when the test taker...
  7. Medication Error Question

The pharmacy should have taken the medication off the MAR since the patient was no longer taking it. Things like this do happen though, I have had it happen to me many times. If I'm doing my 5 checks before giving the med, it's then that I realize I'...
