These are PERSONAL questions. You should search yourself and your experiences for the answers, not look for them from someone else. I'm sorry to sound critical, but, if you expect others to answer these for you, then you're just flat out lying.

Hi,

I agree with the previous poster, these are all personal questions that only "You" can answer. Question 4 for example: Why should I hire you? Mention your educational background, if you're eager to learn, a hard worker, love caring for others, etc. - tell them all that.

Now that you know what types of questions people ask at an interview, you can use that information to prepare for your next interview. Think about what the question, what it means and what experiences you have had in the past that relate to the topic. Then write down YOUR thoughts about each question.

Set your written answers aside for a day or two ... then look at the questions again, pretending to be the nurse manager doing the interview. Does your written answer seem to answer the question well? How can you improve your answer? etc. When you think you have developed a good answer, practice answering the questions without any notes with a friend or family member pretending to be the interviewer.

Good luck!

Just because you are going for a job in nursing does not mean that your answers have to be nursing related. Use your life experience to answer the questions. Customer service could be something as simple as having given a shopping cart to someone coming in the store as you are exiting it and don't need it for your bags. Conflict resolution can be exampled in your home life, school life, or previous job experience. What you bring to the organization is your personal characteristics. Don't think all your answers have to be related to nursing. Nursing is only a part of your whole character. Good luck:p

this is how i answered the below q's and got the job i wanted on the floor that i wanted and the shift as well.

[color=#ff4040]1, when is the difficult situiation at your work (preferable as a nurse), and how did you handle it? thought someone was stealing from the floor. watched nurse more closely and almost was sure of it. told manager of my thoughts and findings.

[color=#ff4040]2, when you have a conflict situiation, how did you deal with it, what is the outcome? i listen to both sides and try to understand the other person rational. i speak quietly and camly in a private location. i try not to use blaming words or point any fingers. i say the words, i think or i feel.... not you made me think, or you did this, or anything with the word you.

[color=#ff4040]3, a -how do you provide the best customer service beyond extra miles? when i was a waitress and my customer asked for mint jelly for his lamb. we had none but there was a store only 50 yards from the resturant. i walked over and bought him some out of my own money and did not ask my employer for any compensation.

[color=#ff4040]b- what did you learn about customer service from your employer? we are in the hospital setting to please our patients who are also considered our customers. it is important to listen to all customer complaint, concerns and attempt to better the issues that arise. i used these rules... rule #1 the customer is always right.. rule #2 if the customer is not right, start again with the first rule.

[color=#ff4040]c-what do they teach you about customer service? to be kind, caring compassionate and always offer an ear to listen. never blame a customer. if you are having a bad day or problems at home, never make it obvious.

[color=#ff4040]d -what do you think which is important about customer service? that the customer is satisfied and that they will return for further services and maybe even tell a friend or two about their positive experiences.

[color=#ff4040]4, why should i hire you? i stated " becuase i have known since i was 5 years old that i wanted to be a nurse at your hospital. my father was chronically ill while i was a child and we spent a lot of time here. the nurses were the greatest nurses i have ever seen in action. i wanted to model my practices after theirs. this is the only job i have applied for and the only hospital i plan to apply to. i am amazed by the amount of care and pride that goes into this facility. it is ever changing and updating itself to keep up with the latest technology. i would be proud to call this hospital my place of employment and would love to have the opportunity to show you everything i have to offer "the floor you are applying for"

[color=#ff4040]5, how do you prioritize your work? give me examples. by the amount of time i have and the tasks at hand. i chose more critical items first and then work my way to the smaller stuff.

[color=#ff4040]6, how did you participate as a team player at your work? i helped all staff if i had extra time, from house keeping to the nurses aids. i was always available for my co workers to be an extra set of hands if they needed them. i made sure to communicate with them all as well.

[color=#ff4040]7,how will you teach to someone who did not speak your language? translator or pictures. family member to translate if available. how will you teach to someone who seems like he does not understand what you are teaching to him? pictures, models, take home guides. how will you teach to someone who is confusing? the same as above.

[color=#ff4040]8, to be a good employee, what are you going to do? be trust worthy, honest, fair, non bias, punctual, and compassionate.

[color=#ff4040]9, what can you bring to our organization? a person with a great thirst for knowledge who is confident in her skills. kindness, and a caring attiture towards pt and other staff.

that is the just of it.

gl to you.
