recently quit pot-marijuana surprized about withdrawl.
I have heard that melatonin actually can cause nightmares, so be careful. I am here if you need me. What are you taking for depression? I used paxil for my anxiety and such. It worked wonders for me. I am sorry you are feeling this way. I hope things become a little better for you. Just know as you detox that your body is becoming well and clean, it just has an odd way of showing you that at first.

getting trouble with interview questions, did not get any offer
this is how i answered the below q's and got the job i wanted on the floor that i wanted and the shift as well. [color=#ff4040]1, when is the difficult situiation at your work (preferable as a nurse), and how did you handle it? thought someone was stealing from the floor. watched nurse more closely and almost was sure of it. told manager of my thoughts and findings. [color=#ff4040]2, when you have a conflict situiation, how did you deal with it, what is the outcome? i listen to both sides and try to understand the other person rational. i speak quietly and camly in a private location. i try not to use blaming words or point any fingers. i say the words, i think or i feel.... not you made me think, or you did this, or anything with the word you. [color=#ff4040]3, a -how do you provide the best customer service beyond extra miles? when i was a waitress and my customer asked for mint jelly for his lamb. we had none but there was a store only 50 yards from the resturant. i walked over and bought him some out of my own money and did not ask my employer for any compensation. [color=#ff4040]c-what do they teach you about customer service? to be kind, caring compassionate and always offer an ear to listen. never blame a customer. if you are having a bad day or problems at home, never make it obvious. [color=#ff4040]4, why should i hire you? i stated " becuase i have known since i was 5 years old that i wanted to be a nurse at your hospital. my father was chronically ill while i was a child and we spent a lot of time here. the nurses were the greatest nurses i have ever seen in action. i wanted to model my practices after theirs. this is the only job i have applied for and the only hospital i plan to apply to. i am amazed by the amount of care and pride that goes into this facility. it is ever changing and updating itself to keep up with the latest technology. i would be proud to call this hospital my place of employment and would love to have the opportunity to show you everything i have to offer "the floor you are applying for" [color=#ff4040]5, how do you prioritize your work? give me examples. by the amount of time i have and the tasks at hand. i chose more critical items first and then work my way to the smaller stuff. [color=#ff4040]6, how did you participate as a team player at your work? i helped all staff if i had extra time, from house keeping to the nurses aids. i was always available for my co workers to be an extra set of hands if they needed them. i made sure to communicate with them all as well. Those who failed on Kaplan are scaring many!
I used Kaplan and scored 54%-61% on my tests. I did though pass my boards on Saturday. I have no clue how, but I did. I wasn't too pleased with Kaplan though, I found it boring and useless. I got 118q on my boards. Good luck to you! Don't worry. If you do fail though, they do refund your money!

recently quit pot-marijuana surprized about withdrawl.
You would think that w/d from pot wouldn't be a problem though, so I know exactly what you mean! But it is a great form of self medication! Three days, good for you. It is hard to even do just one day! Try to keep yourself away form the other people you know who do it, that way you don't have to test your will power just yet. It took me about 3 months before I knew I was so disinterested in it due to the w/d from it that I knew I didn't want to do it and I could hang with the old buddies that did it...... infront of me! But feeling these w/d symptoms really makes a person never want to do it again, b/c it would mean the same w/d over and over again. I wasn't poor either, just decided to deal with it on my own... although I did have one anti pot friend who I could speak to about it. But if the anxiety keep rearing its ugly head, see your PCP and ask for some Paxil. Try not to get any Benzo's though b/c if you liked pot, you'll get into the same funk with them. Take care.. Keep in touch.. More than happy to help!

Oh and by the way this lasted about a month and a half for me. If it gets real bad though, go seek help. This really does a ton to your psyche.

recently quit pot-marijuana surprized about withdrawl.
I used to have quite the problem with pot. I stopped smoking after 3 years of very heavy smoking when I graduated from highschool. Holy crap was it horrible. I was having panic attacks left and right. I was so paranoid. I remember that if I was near anyone in public I would just freak out start crying and ran away. This was a really tough time for me. I never went for medical help though, no meds or anything. I just used to take long walks where I knew no one was going to be around. I spent time writing in a journal about how I felt. I spoke about it to one close friend, who I knew didn't understand but I knew was there to help me. Don't try to think too much. Don't go into overly stimulating enviroments. Try to remain away from stress, other than the stress of withdrawl. Take care of yourself. Hot baths.... good food. Just use deep breathing when all else fails. I remember I always felt like I couldn't breathe so I would breathe in a paper bad to assure myself that I was breathing!

Anybody else struggling with anorexia and bulimia?
I will have an eating disorder for the rest of my life. I have had my battle with anorexia and bulimia. Right now I am not in the "active phase". I have been to stressed to starve myself. I started this whole journey when I was 12, I am now 24 married with two children. I noticed that when I feel I have no control over anything that my problem flares. I think that even if you go into treatment, you will always have the disease, it's depends on if you can fight the urges to give in. I have been doing well for the last 5 months or so, but I am afraid of not passing my boards that I took on Saturday. I am sure since so much rides on these reesults that if they are bad, I will yet again jump off the train. Good luck to you, I have over 12 years experience with this and if you need any help or anyone to talk to.... I am here!

Lord please be with us as we struggle through this seemingly stressful time. Allow us to pack tons and tons of nit picky information into our brains and Lord, grant us recollection of this information with ease. We have come into this field with helping others in mind and aiding them in their first and last breaths as you have as well. We ask that you grant us our passing so we can aid in your daily work, like you providing us with the brownie sundae and we, your nurses putting the cherry on the top. Thank you Lord for the chance to work with others and please Lord smile down on us as we prove to our states that we will make competent nurses. GOD BLESS ALL.

Kaplan Rationales
Some of their rationales are exact opposites of things that were pounded into our heads in RN school. It gets really confusing.
