I applied as well! Im originally from MA but have been in FL for sometime now. Looking to move up and if all goes well I wil...what other schools did u apply to?

Finally someone else is here I applied to Stonybrook in NY but didn't get in there. I've also applied to Sonoma State and CSU Channel Islands, both in CA (where I live). I may apply to a couple more accelerated programs as well, depending on how it goes with ones I've applied to already. I think I'll call the school tomorrow to make sure they got everything for my application. I kind of decided last minute to apply to this program.

Nice! I was thinking about applying to schools out there but I didnt feel too comfortable w/o some kind of family/friends nearby even if its a 5-6hr drive....yea I have to call them as well b/c they were missing a set of my transcripts. We'll see, I dont have the best grades but I feel im a good canidate all around. Kinda scared but who isn't.

I applied as well to Umass Amherst accelerated program. Is there current students who can elaborate of what they think of the program.

I know its early; but does anyone know when we will get a decision?

I think it's supposed to take about 6 weeks to get a decision. I tried calling yesterday to make sure they had all my application materials but wasn't able to get an answer. I think they were swamped with application stuff cuz the lady took down my number to call me back, but never got a call back. Hope everything got there!!

Hi! I applied too :) I sent my application in a while ago and was a little worried I hadn't gotten any kind of confirmation that my application was received, but I got an email today asking for my midterm grades because I'm taking my last two pre-reqs this semester. At least that means they haven't rejected me yet, lol.

Hi arod-welcome to the thread :) Are you from NY? Just a guess from your name. I haven't heard anything yet. I tried to confirm the receipt of all my materials the other day but they weren't able get back to me. I hope all my stuff got there on time!

Hehe no, I'm actually from Massachusetts...just a funny coincidence that my first name begins with an A and my fiances last name is Rodriguez. I think they might be contacting everyone if there is anything missing because in the email she also said one of my recommendations is missing :/ that makes me worried, but I'm hoping they will still accept the recommendation if I get it in ASAP.

I'm sure they'll accept it. Especially if they let you know that it's late and with recommendations, it's not exactly something you can control unfortunately. I'm curious how many applicants there are, did she say?

Nope...the email was really short and didn't give any other info. How did you decide to apply to UMASS? Do you know what other schools around are still accepting applications for the fall? I thought I was okay with the few schools I applied to around MA, but now I feel like I should have applied to more just in case.

I decided on UMass because they're still accepting, and I'm done with the prereqs (except 1) in time to apply. I want to get into a program and get done ASAP! haha I think Univ. of Colorado in Denver is accepting now, but I think it's for January start. I don't know of any more schools still accepting for Fall.
