Salary at MGH - Page 3
Register Today!- Feb 15, '09 by post-it girlI just got offerred a new grad job at MGH and the salary I was quoted is as follows:
$29.28/hr base
if you work 50% of the shift in a eve or night shift you get the differential
evening diff $5/hr
night diff $7/hr
wknd diff $4/hr (so wknd nights are $11/hr)
I was also told night shift parks for FREE but day and eve shifts do have to pay to park - Jun 21, '12 by ivyleafDoes anyone know or have input on what the salary might be for a newly hired case manager w/ 3 years outpatient CM experience, 5 years RN experience?
Or even what the general RN pay is for someone with 5 yrs experience?
Thanks!!! - Jun 22, '12 by KelRN215Quote from ivyleafMy friend works as an RN at MGH with nearly 5 years experience and makes $32 and change/hr.Does anyone know or have input on what the salary might be for a newly hired case manager w/ 3 years outpatient CM experience, 5 years RN experience?

Thanks!!! - Jul 9, '12 by 86711lhI'm a new grad and I work at MGH, whoever told you they make 100k clearly has no clue what they are talking about.....unless your working overtime like every week and of course if you work nights...and as a new grad working nights isn't an option your first year....at least on my floor.
- Jul 11, '12 by TRR8021I would love to NOT work nights! That sounds like a new grad dream come true! lol
- Jul 11, '12 by KelRN215Quote from TRR8021Hate to burst your bubble but, in Boston, not only will you be working nights as a new grad if you're able to find a job but you'll likely be working rotating shifts- which is way worse than straight nights. There are plenty of new grads in Boston who don't work nights though... because they're unemployed. There is a serious overabundance of new nursing grads in Boston... if you get offered a job here, take it!I would love to NOT work nights! That sounds like a new grad dream come true! lol
- Jul 13, '12 by 86711lhNot true....I'm a new grad and have been working for almost 6 months now and I do not work nights.....same goes for the other new grads on my floor....I also have friends who found jobs not working nights either...I guess it depends on the position you apply for.
- Aug 3, '12 by mb19I know of people that got new grad jobs there and have about a 6-month orientation where they are only getting paid $11/hr, then once off orientation they'll get full pay
