Hi, I was wondering if anyone has applied to the MGHIHP new accelerated BSN program? If so, what do you think your chances are of being accepted?

Sorry I didn't see your comment till after I last posted. I got the scholarship but just applying to the school; everyone is considered. I received $15,000 to be distributed over the 3 semesters, which is $5,000 every semester. Considering the program is $12,000/semester, that leaves me having to compensate for the $7,000 that is left over as well as living expenses.

I can completely relate to not wanting to take out any private loans. I still have loans to pay off from my other undergraduate education. If anything I suggest looking into outside scholarships; I mean they have them for people who are left-handed!!

I really hope i get in:o i shouldnt complain too much though since i did get into another program. whatever happens will work out for the best im sure. thanks again. ill keep you all posted. this is kind of a fun way to get to know people before the program starts!

I was accepted to Simmons College Accelerated BSN program. It's also a great program, it will just take a little longer than MGH. Those are the only 2 schools I applied to.

Do you think it's okay to call and ask about when letters will be sent? I don't want to annoy anyone, but it is SO hard waiting...

PS - I should have added - another program that I applied to told me that I would know by Jan 9th - so, I think the programs know ahead of time when letters will go out.

I think it is more than FINE to call and find out the status! I've called and e-mailed numerous times, and they were fine about it. I'm such an impatient person! But to help you out a little, according to a previous post on here, someone said that if you haven't anything as of yet, then you will hear something by the end of the this week (which is tomorrow) Good Luck!!!!!

I also applied to the direct entry at Regis. Did you apply to any other programs?

I also applied to Regis and Simmons. Regis said they would send letters by January 7th if you had your application in by December 10. So next week should be interesting!;)

What do you think about Regis? Have you heard anything from nurses about the program at Regis, as far as reputation among hospitals?
