Are there are any current students or applicants to the Lawrence Memorial/Regis College ASN program? I will be attending an info session this week but would like to hear some first hand accounts from current students. Is the admission process quick once your application is complete? What is the typical clinical schedule like? I am considering both day and evening programs so any info would be appreciated!

After you submit your application and essay, the board will review it and decide if you are a good canidate then you will be asked to come in for an interview. From what I know, you are "in" if you are invited to the interview. They admit student to the programs twice a year - Sept/Jan.

In the Day division, the 1st year you have clinicals and theory 3 days a week and the 2nd year 4 days a week. The first semester it's W-Fri and all the rest start on Mon - Wed/Thurs. If you go to their website you I think there is a calendar/schedule you can view. Sorry but I don't know too much about the W/E times.

I personally didn't have a great experience with the Admissions department at Regis. A few weeks after being told my application was complete by an admissions office worker, I received a call and was told that my application was incomplete and was missing 1 letter of recommendation and my high school transcript. This delayed the review of my application and was extremely frustrating. My advice to you is to be proactive and be sure you get the name and date of everyone you speak with regarding the status of your application.

Was your expierence with Regis College in Weston? The Lawrence Memorial/Regis College process is handle at the Lawrence Memorial campus in Medford and their admissions process is not really connect with the Regis campus in Weston.

It was with the LM campus in Medford, but to be honest, it could have happened anywhere. Any program handles a large amount of applications and I think it is important to be proactive in keeping track of who you talk to and what they tell you. I'm not trying to say anything bad about the program, as I've heard only great things about it, just sharing my personal experience.

I agree with you and I didn't think you were saying anything bad. I know sometimes people think it's the same place/program.

That is a very good point - In fact, until you had mentioned it I had forgotten about the 2 campuses. I had only visited the Medford campus so that was my only frame of reference.

I did get into a program, thanks for asking! I am in my 2nd semester at a program in NH. I definitely think things work out for a reason!

I am currently in my last semester at Lawrence/Memorial Regis college ASN program in Medford. It is an awesome program and I would suggest if you don't have to work full time then don't. I am in the night/weekend program which is usually 2 nights/week about 4 hrs and e/o weekend including friday nights for clinical. They really prepare you to take the NCLEX. Thank you! I was hoping someone in the night/ weekend program would reply. This is the program that I think will work out best for me schedule wise so I am excited to hear you like it. Now I am really looking forward to the info session!

Hi,

I applied to the LMRC program and I'm hoping to get in for the fall. My suggestion would be to make sure all your application material gets sent in ONE packet. They ask that you do so. I sent everything together, except for my high school transcript which got sent directly from my HS. Unfortunately, they didn't place them together and so this has held up them reviewing my application. I guess they were confused about matching up my maiden name with my married name. I only found out because I contacted the admissions office regarding the status of my application which was not being reviewed b/c of this. Hopefully, I got all the application materials in early enough still that I'll have a chance for this fall. That being said, the admissions office has been very thorough and helpful with all questions and as soon as they discovered the issue they resolved it quickly and were apologetic. Also, I have heard nothing but great things about the program and they have a very high NCLEX pass rate. Good luck to you!

From what I know, you are pretty much in, once you have been ask to come in for an interview. I don't think I have heard anyone have an interview and not get in.

I think they basically ask you about what you were asked to write on your essay. Why you want to be an RN, past jobs, schooling, etc.
