Does anyone attend this college? If so how do you like it and are you in their nursing program? I start in the fall in the nursing Adn program, just curious to get some updated reviews about the facility. :)

Specializes in Adult Internal Medicine.

I don't attend, but I did take a quick look at their NCLEX pass rates for the past two years for you: 84% and 82%. This is a little below the national average, though it is quite low for MA programs.

Specializes in OMFS, Dentistry.

A friend of mine just graduated ASN and loved it. One of the things that she really appreciated was the fact that if you go onto your BSN there, they give you a good discount on tuition. (I haven't looked into that so I don't know how much) The only reason I won't apply is because I have already taken most sciences and Laboure requires you to take them at their school. I don't want to go through that all over again. Good luck .. I am sure you will enjoy it

Thank you both!

They let you take a test to exempt you from having to redo both Anatomy & Physiology's, if you have completed both of them with a passing grade. I'm not sure about Microbiology since I haven't taken it yet so I will taking it at Laboure'. @hopefulRN'17

I just recieved and email and went to the school yesterday, stating that they are now accepting transferred sciences with a grade C and higher. I'll take my remainder prereqs at a CC to save money. Tuition is at 60k for two years, crazy.

Yes I seen the email too. Very convenient seeing I've already taken a&p 1& 2 at Laboure now.

@RNlolo smart move

The school is a bit disorganized, I've been there for a year. The second nursing class I'm supposed to register for in fall is already full when we were guaranteed spots after completing the 1st semester of nursing.

Specializes in OMFS, Dentistry.

60k? OMG..... that plus issues of getting into classes? I am SO thankful I got into a community college! I hope things get more organized for you mag426 :blink:

I don't know about 60k for two years but it's is pricey prob more like 40k if you don't utilize grants / scholarships & transfer credits. I'm happy to be in the program & have learned tons but I would love them to get more organized. I emailed the director of nursing to see if I can get into nursing 1020 but if I can't until January 2015 which will push my grad date from August to December of next year. I will take the 4 co-requisites I have left this fall.

I hope it works out for you @mag426 Im glad that you like the program, keep us posted!
