Hi everyone,

At Good Sam, can anyone tell me what unit a CNA "safety sitter" would work on?

Has anyone worked there as a CNA. I'm wondering what it's like :)

Thanks!

I haven't worked at that particular hospital, but safety sitters are usually people who sit with a patient (perhaps the patient is s/p overdose, encephalopathic, or has mental health issues) and assure that they don't pull lines out, fall, etc. Usually sitters in my hospital don't work on any particular floor, they usually float to whatever unit the patient needing constant observation might be on.

my friend was a cna there and i think the 2nd floor she did soem time as a sitter and she hated it but it was a few years back. For some reason, the 2nd floor is just coming right to my head!forgive me if i am wrong
