    Hi Grey Lady,
Do you know when Baltimore Campus will be done with the acceptance process? I am still waiting for decision and still say "Committe Ready" in my application page. Thanks for your help!

Nobody knows because nobody can predict how many offers will be accepted or rejected or how long it will take. They just keep going until the class is filled. I know the goal is to firm everything by Thanksgiving.

    Hi Grey Lady,
Do you have an idea when UMB will send the acceptance-of-offer letter? I've been waiting for it in the mail since I found out I got in. I'm getting worried because I didn't receive a phone call as well. Thanks! (In advance ^__^)

    Hey y'all!
I've never posted but I've been reading this forum for awhile now to keep updated about the app status and just wanted to say thanks for all the info! I was accepted to the CNL program, and am looking forward to meeting y'all that'll be there with me!
Have any of you received your packet yet? I'm getting slightly antsy about it since I have to coordinate a move from ATL to B'more - I would love to have something a tad more official than my online status before I really make my preparations and sell my car (unless anyone can advise as to whether an Honda S2000 would manage fine in Baltimore winters...)

I don't know anything about cars but, generally, Baltimore and the Washington, DC area experiences mild winters. We are not Boston! Last year's "Snowmaggeden" was historic. I have lived here since 1970 and we only get snow like that once or twice a decade. And when we do, everything shuts down - NOBODY moves for a while. Also, if you will be a Baltimore student, public transportation there is pretty good. Not so here at Shady Grove in Rockville, I am afraid.

    Hi guys,
Congrats to everyone accepted.Does anyone know how much tuition is at UMD's CNL program? I went online,
and based on all the per credit hours and extra fees(rounded up i.e.),came up with a guesstimate of around $10,000,but I could be wrong.Does anyone have any better numbers??Thanks!

congrats on your acceptance! i am finishing up my first semester as a cnl student and you are in for a crazy, but very fun ride!

very good guess! you can go to this link for more detailed information, but i will give you a quick and easy breakdown.

    http://www.fincsvc.umaryland.edu/sa/images/nurs.pdf

my numbers are based on 15 credits (maryland resident). if you are a 21/23 month student you will be taking 15 credits during your first semester. if you are a 16 month student, you will be taking an additional 3 credits, bringing you up to a total of 18.

    tuition: $7,599.50
    registration fees: $1,278.00
health insurance: $1,233.00 (this fee can be waived if you provide proof that you have private coverage).

    grand total: $10,110.50

also, here is a link to the aacn scholarship. the son just sent out an email about this last week, so i figured i would let you know. the next deadline is jan. 31.

    hi sewnew,
Thanks a lot for the tuition info and the scholarship link;btw,as a CNL student,I'd only be eligible for the scholarship once admitted to the MSN program, correct? Also, could you tell me about taking 15 credits (vs. 18)-i.e. is the academic load insane? And also,do you (or anyone else for that matter!)know anything about commuting, cuz I'll be commuting from the DC burbs.
Sorry for the inane brain picking, but it's great to get 1st person perspective from you!)-cookiemonstress
