CNA 90 Day Letter Confusion

U.S.A. Maryland

Hi, this is my first time posting. I took and passed the CNA exam in April of 2013, and passed the GNA in May. On the mbon website, I looked up my name and I have the 90 day letter for my CNA--which expires today. My first question is, do I need to renew it right now, or will it automatically turn into the permanent license? Secondly, my GNA is still pending. Is it normal for it to take this long? I've heard of people waiting months for their 90 day letter. I'm concerned because I don't want to somehow end up losing my licenses! I'm sorry if this has already been answered in another thread, I've been looking and I can't seem to find anything myself.

I ran into the same issue in 2009 when I became a GNA. Unfortunately mbon sorta moves slowly :( maybe it wouldn't hurt to drive there and seek answers ( The rare times I called their number, they never picked up..and emails went un answered).

I had the same issue for my endorsement. I waited at least 3-4 months checking online status. I couldn't afford to fly or drive from out of state. I emailed the head of the nursing assistant team that reviews the applications and the process was complete in the same day. It's a shame you have to run behind them to get things done.
