Test outs

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi guys. So I'm attempting to test out of A&P I and II this summer and I'm in desperate need of where I can purchase a quality book to study from. I've attempted to do an old textbook and its like torture tryna get through it. I need something a little more direct and to the point. A cram book, sort of Hesi or ATI review would be awesome. Please help!!!!

I would check and see what text book your college uses for that class and study from that. For what it's worth, my personal opinion is that A&P is a class that you may want to designate a lot of time for. Classroom time was extremely beneficial for me. Those classes are laying out your knowledge foundation; it's worth taking the time to do that sometimes.

I am a huge proponent of CLEP-ing out of courses whenever feasible. However, A & P is a crucially important foundational course for nursing. Most programs require A&P with lab as a prerequisite. I would double-check to make sure that CLEPing would be acceptable. If it is, how would you take an A&P lab... since those slots are usually reserved for currently enrolled students.

I took it once before and passed but the 5 yr time limit has lapsed .I'm assuming that's why my school if giving me the option to test out.

I would take the class. A&P is a foundation. If your A&P is more than 5 years old a refresher would be good.
