A&P Competency Test

I have heard that the tests are close to impossible to pass and 90% of the people have to take their sciences all over again.

I go to St Vincent's, graduate in May! I know of several people who have taken the A&P comp test. NO ONE I know of passed it. Several of them had science backgrounds with degrees, yet not one passed the test. I also have quite a few friends from class who have friends who have graduated and no one they know passed it either. I personally think its a thing of they want you to take THEIR A&P for whatever reason. I can't tell you how many times I heard them say that their (St V's) A&P is geared more toward nursing & rad students where as 'other' colleges A&P is a general course. Umm, I took A&P at a local community college. The ONLY people taking that class were nursing majors and it was far from a 'general" course. And I found the community college A&P WAY more in depth (and in my opinion really too deep for what we need to know. It was as if this were a med school A&P class). I found St V's A&P much easier than the CC. Then again my professor at SVC was an awesome instructor and could make a rock understand anything haha. That's not to say it was easy at St V's. It wasn't. I'm an LPN and took A&P in LPN school, I've taken it at the CC and took it again in St V's. Hands down the CC was harder.

Honestly, I'd say you'll end up taking A&P at St V's if you decide to go there.

Yeah I took the test on Weds and just got the call I didn't pass. I got a 51. :/ but I also had heard its almost impossible to pass. I took A&P at a CC and when I did the LPN programa as well. The test was too in depth. It sucked!!
