Mission College LVN to RN

Nursing Students LPN-RN

So tomorrow is the deadline to get acceptance letters for Mission College's LVN to RN has anyone got a letter of rejection, acceptance, anything? I am going to go crazy. I emailed Anita and I called her...no answer. I am so scared!!

I am going to try and get some financial aid.

I just applied for financial aid, but it I never qualify! Anyways I'm sorry to hear the news Alexandra, hopefully you get some luck with the other school you're wait listed with! Don't give up hope!

Oh no! So sorry! At least you still have your number 1 waitlist spot so it's really only a matter of time! What are you guys doing as far as financial aid goes? I was banking on Private Loans to help me with my living expenses, but turns out Sallie Mae and other lenders don't work with LMC or Mission =( I'm kinda freaking out, I hope I qualify for more Stafford loans, but with all my units and current Stafford loans I don't have many options. I can't work during the nursing program!

We went over our finances last night, and it was a headache. We can't afford to have both kids in school/daycare, but we don't qualify for any financial aid...My husband doesn't want me to apply for a loan either... I'm stuck!

Maybe put it on a credit card? And if you go to Mission they have a daycare there but the waitlist is crazy.

Got my acceptance letter today! Now I need to figure out my options... it's looking more like Los Medanos for me, so that would free up another seat!

So did you decide where you are going?

So did you decide where you are going?

I will be going to Los Medanos. Problem now is just money to pay for bills!

Oh I'm in the same boat. Money seems to be the root of many problems eh? Anyways, I'm going to Mission, I declined Fresno. Good luck to you!

Have you looked into California Benefits Training? I know some people that got it while they were doing their LVN. I am not sure if it works for LVN to RN but you should try it out. I was planning on doing it but my work is willing to work with me so no option there.

If you are having to quit your job look into California Benefits Training. My coworker that is an LVN got it while she was in school. I do not know for sure it will work for bridges but it wouldn't kill to try.
