LPN to RN program online??

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Some people I work with are looking into doing the lpn to rn bridge program online.

Has anyone done this? And if so, with any success and what company did you go with?

I'm interested in getting my RN asap (or BSN), but am in somewhat of a volatile relationship and stuck in Mississippi (bleck) and don't know how much longer I'll be here. I'd hate to get into the bridge program here in MS, then have to leave, and the online idea sounds scary, but promising...

Any ideas?

I've heard about both. How hard are they vs. regular nursing school? Does anyone know the fail/pass rate?

I'd love to know what people who have been through the program think...

Hello all out there I am new to this site . I am a licensed LVN in CA and want to go for the RN program. I have finished all my prereq with at least B . but the waiting list is gettting me frustrated. Anyone out there has a better advise on how to get to RN program by taking advantage of my LVN?

I wish i could give you some advice. I am seeking answer to the the same question. Would you mind sharing what you get from others so I do not have to waste time to search?

Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) may advance place into Nursing 210 or Nursing 211 (third semester courses) after meeting all prerequisites and passing Nursing 140 (RN Transition/Bridge course).

This is for Trumans RN program in chicago. Has anyone done this whether at Truman/Daley etc? What was it like?

You might not like what I'm going to say, but please take it to heart.

If you are in a volatile relationship.. DO NOT sign up for nursing classes! What comes after LPN is nothing like you've seen before... it is complex, time demanding, and it requires your undivided attention. You cannot wing your way through it. Get that part of your life taken care of, get yourself a safe and solid place for at least two years. Then dive into nursing.

If splitting up is not an option at this time, work on your relationship. You will need all the support you can get from your loved one. If you don't, you WILL fail... I've seen it happen several times! There is no reason to be a martir if you are suffering now. You can become the RN you want to be, but stabilize yourself first. You need a good foundation to support you.

Good luck to you !!
