  1. So can they take the higher grade for you prereq GPA? I got a C in ENG 101 but an A in Eng 102 so will they take the higher grade? Bio I got a C in one and a B in another.
  2. Can you select which prereq grades to use for you GPA? I got a C in Eng 101 and an A in 102. Can they take the higher grade?
  3. My fiances brother is currently in their program. He said they usually accept around 200 but really only have seats for 100-160.
  4. Can you select the grades you want for your GPA when taking prereqs? Ex: Eng 101 earned a C and Eng 102 an A. Can they take the higher grade?
  5. Can you choose which classes/grades you want to include for your GPA when taking prereqs? For example in Eng 101 I got a C in Eng 102 an A. Can I take the higher grade? Will they allow that?
  6. I have a Bachelors degree and have completed all the nursing prereqs within my major at the University. Since I did not take the prereqs at a community college will they also look at my cumulative GPA or just my GPA for the required prereqs? My cumulative is 3.162 and my GPA for the prereqs is along the lines of 2.5-.275. So what do you think? Can they also take the higher grade for a certain prereq. For example English 101 I got a C because my teacher was a prick he gave everyone C's but I'm an excellent writer. In my Research Writing course which is higher level 102 I received an A in. So would they be able to take this A instead of the C? I checked their transfer guide for biology and Trumans is equivalent to my BIO 198 which I got a C in but I recieved a B in BIO 197 which at their institution is higher level than my BIO 198. Will they take the B?

  10. What is the required minimum GPA for acceptance into the nursing program? Do they solely look at the GPA for the prereqs? I have a Bachelor's so will they look at my cumulative GPA and GPA for their required prereqs?
  11. Does taking the RN bridge/transition course to enter the 3rd semester or 2nd yr of nursing school difficult to pass if you're an LPN already with working expierence? Once you pass and get into the final yr of nursing is it easier since you have working experience?

  13. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) may advance place into Nursing 210 or Nursing 211 (third semester courses) after meeting all prerequisites and passing Nursing 140 (RN Transition/Bridge course). This is for Trumans RN program in chicago. Has anyone done this whether at Truman/Daley etc? What was it like?
  14. is it true that if you do your lpn then you can be placed into the second year of nursing school and skip the first year? I think you'd have to take an exam and then you would be placed but if the lpn courses are very similar to nursing school's first year then passing the bridge exam would be doable and you can enroll into the second year (3rd semester) of nursing school correct? Anyone done this or experienced this? Let me know!!!
