Evening RN Programs

Nursing Students LPN-RN

Published

Hi I'm an LVN in California and I am interested in an evening RN program. Both classes and clinicals in the evening, not the weekends. Does anyone know of any schools anywhere in the US? I am willing to move anywhere! Thanks!

Lovenotwar, Congrats!!! My tip would be to start off strong in the beginning,do lots of questions and as u will hear from the fundamental teachers ' Read, Read and read again'. I used "Fundamental success" by Davis I think is the author name to help me with questions, it was a life saver last semster and this semster. The fundamental teachers are a bit rough but I liked it bc it helped me remember my info...I wish u the best!!

My school, Academy for Nursing and Health Occupations is in West Palm Beach, FL. The bridge program is Mon-Thurs where one attends school for two days and clinical for two days. Great program, great instructors, and great first time NCLEX pass rate!

Thanks for the feedback I just got accepted to Darton for spring 2014 and I am so excited! Do you have any tips to help me?

Congrats!!!! If you don't mind me asking what was your teas score? Any pointers on taking the test I'm worried about the science portion because its such a broad subject I have the teas practice book is that helpful for the test? Thank you so much.

Thank you!. I.used two prep books which helped improved.my score tremendously. 5TEAS by Mcgraw Hill and secrets to the TEAS both I got off Amazon.com. the test questions are VERY similar to the 5 teas prep book. Make sure that when you practice that you time yourself for each practice sections. I found that I knew the answers but ran out.of time but my overall score was 74 with 90% on the human body portion of the science section.

I currently attend Darton State and I have very dedicated instructors, but being in the nursing bridge program require a great deal of studying on your own time. Our instructors are both Nurse Practitioners and continue to pursue their own education while teaching and working. They are the definition of what Nursing instructors should represent. They expect a great deal from their students and the pressure is always on, but they are more than fair. I feel very grateful to be in the program and to have instructors that are very experienced and educated. The cost is expected at any college you attend. We are often pressed for time, but ultimately the student is responsible for their education. Do not allow others to deter you from applying. Just my opinion.

I agree the instructors are dedicated. What semester are you?

I have some questions about the evening and hybrid program. I live 2 hours away and work full time and I'm trying to decide which program is best for me. How many days a week do you have to go and for clinicals? I work in a banking position so this is a career change I've just always wanted to do nursing but couldn't quit to go during day. I have all my core finished except for microbiology. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

At darton you should plan to be in campus at least 4 days a week. 2 days for class and 2 days for individual lab hours.
