awells908, I read the ATI teas book, I went through it completely and read each section, then I answered the questions in the back of the book. Then I went back over the book again just to read the sections I really didn't understand. I also used this site to see how others study tips. Wish u the best!!

lexapoo10;7582940, if you are applying for summer quarter at Darton you have a higher chance of getting accepted. I applied this past summer with a 73 on my Teas and I think a gpa of 2.7 or 2.75 and got accepted. I am currently going into my third semster and love it!!! If you do get accepted for summer quarter be advised that it moves extremely quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And make sure u are prepared!!!! I wish you the best!!!!

Mrsladysoul83, I made a 73 on my teas when I was accepted into the program this pass summer semster... I think they look at your math and science section the most, I can't remember for sure tho

Lovenotwar, Congrats!!! My tip would be to start off strong in the beginning,do lots of questions and as u will hear from the fundamental teachers ' Read, Read and read again'. I used "Fundamental success" by Davis I think is the author name to help me with questions, it was a life saver last semster and this semster. The fundamental teachers are a bit rough but I liked it bc it helped me remember my info...I wish u the best!!

I am currently attending Darton College and I will have to disagree that Darton is all about money. Darton is a great school and you have plenty of clinical time to learn your skills. It's a very hard program to stay in just like any other nursing program. Of course if you start off with a large group of people you are bound to lose some along the way. If it wasn't for Darton I would still be applying to nursing schools now. I currently have a "B" in Med Surg 1 and one final exam left for this semster. I drive 2 hours to get there and would recommend it to anyone that is willing to do the work.

Hi Nursingdarton, I actually am coming up on the end of my second semster with Darton. I started fundamentals in the summer and it was alot of work!! We had class on Mondays for Fundamentals, then u have ur lab on a different day and then u have ur pharmacology class. So a total of 3 times a week, clinicals were at a skilled nursing facility towards the end of the quarter for two days only, hopes this help and I wish u the best!!

Macongirl, That is true. Wat time on Wednesday? I will be going wed 8_10:50. Renting a room sounds like that will be nice. I will be traveling for now unless I'm just too tired then I will rent a room.

Hey macongirl, I went to orientation last Wednesday, got my schedule for both classes and signed up for my classes. I'm waiting for my books to get here they should be here this week. U got accepted into Gordon?? Great!!! I understand I am ready to get this started also. From wat I hear Darton is pretty tough. I have a friend that is in her 3 rd semster there and she said its rough but as long as u study and listen you will be good. R u going with Gordon or Darton?

I study for about two months everyday and then once I finished the whole book. I went back over it again and hit the areas I was not comfortable in. I used only the ATI study guide, pretty much everything in the book is on the test.

Macongirl I did not get into Gordon got my denial letter today. So looks like I will be starting with Darton this summer.Did u get a chance to attended the orientation earlier this week?

I meant five semsters. I think they have one in cordele and thomason.
