Hello all,
I know this is a question i should be asking a school councilor but its summer school they have very limited staff and the wait to see one is 3 hours...so here i am allnurses.com hope the answer is good...
Well I am currently a LVN in the state of CA and am now in the second year of the RN program (carrer ladder)
back when i was a young fool fresh out of high school i wasnt taking things so seriously and got a D in Sociology
Now that I in the last year and about to graduate the CA BRN states you must complete the pre requistes classes with a C or better...
I know that a D is considered passing and i hear that with a D you cannot retake a course? Will my young mistake come back and bite me in the A**???
I mean my GPA now is 3.5 cumulative and almost 4.0 in nursing pre reqs but will this D hinder me from not being eligible to sit for the board exams?!?!!? I worked my butt off to be in this position and i dont want a mistake that i made 3 years ago to ruin it all

Far as I know D's can be repeated. C's are the ones you have to live with, at some schools only. If this class is required for the CA BRN, retake the class. If you have to, take it at a different college and submit the transcript to the Board with your application for licensure.

I Think you should set up an appointment and talk to them. you may not have to retake it. good luck
