Will this be a lot to start an LPN program,or is this normal?

Hello Everyone,

I'm starting LPN school this March, I have been visiting my LPN school website quite often looking at their passing rate averages etc. because I'm getting really excited to start. The other day I was on the school website and it really hit me like WOW! I'm going to have 8 courses to start the program over the duration of 13 weeks. Out of these 8 courses 3 of them are A&P, Calculation of Drug Dosage and Pharmacology 1. I'm not saying that I can't do it (I'm a really self-driven ambitious person), but I always told myself that even when I start college I would never take on 6 classes at once let along 8 because that's just A LOT! I was just wondering is this the norm for an 15month LPN program? Is this why most people recommend going straight for RN because you get to set your own class schedule (for prereqs) and still be able to work? Thanks for all responses in advance :) !

Yep that's better than my schedule. I'm in a 11 month program. So things are crazy!

yes, sadly. I feel your pain, truly. I have 6 months left and can't wait to be done. It's a lot of hard work. All I can tell you is stock-pile yourself some coffee, and get ready to study like your life depends on it. Time management is going to be really important. Just have to keep your eyes on the prize.
