Hello LVN graduates and current students, I know most of us will be starting our LVN program Jan 2015. Can you please share your "if I would have known before" experiences for each class during LVN school? Pros and Cons *** thanks

Hmm...I don't know the answer to this question except that with any nursing job organizational skills and time management are the key.

Its alot of work.. be prepared to live eat sleep and breath nursing. Social life.. you can forget that. study hard. You really have to know this stuff because guess what!! They put two right answers on the test so you have to pick the best possible answer out of the two right answer. So you have to know it. And read. If you think you read somthing and know it. Read it again!!

I didn't know it was this time consuming. But its the sacrifice you make for a better life. It's not easy by a long shoot. But it can be done. Pray.. somedays you will have break downs. I had one today. But you have to remain in faith and pray and keep pushing and know that everyday wont be a good day you will have them days when you say what the heck was I think! And somedays you will feel like nursing is not for you but you wipe the tears away and push on..you have to want it!

Thank you @victoriahicks for the kind words of encouragement. My faith is what led me here thus far and will also help me get through it all as well :)

Your welcome good luck!

Hi tasha92337, CNA,

Bc I'm a new member in this forum so I coudn't reply to your private msg. So I decided to post it here. Honestly, Pharmacology is my weakness. All I did is study the suffix/prefix and simple side effects of each group ( ex: -olol = beta blocker/ side effect: bradycardia, hypotension, etc..) and an android app called Mosby's Pharmacology Memory Notecard:Visual, Mnemonic, and Memory Aids for Nurse 3rd edition(it's cost about $10 when I bought it, cheaper than you buy the book, you can read it through your phone/tablet). It helped me able to remember drugs. Hope it help :)

Thanks vnuyge2014. I just sent you PM back and emailed you :)
