Need a nclex book for lpn med surge

Nursing Students LPN/LVN Students

Hey guys, I need a book to do practice questions based on the material I study in class. I can't find anything for LPNs. I already looked at med surge made easy but they only put 4 questions at the end of each chapter. Does anyone know if there any nclex med surge books for LPNs or not? Can you even use an RN book to study for LPN med surge? Would you mind telling me the title, author and edition?

Look at general med surg books like Saunders there are several broken up by subject. Also check if your text has online resources.

I tried the online resources. I can't get access to the questions. Is saunders for the LPN level?

Saunders has both. Go to Barnes & Noble and check the out before buying. Many online resources require a text book code to access.

I checked thier, thier section is limited and don't have the proper books I need. Is saunder's ncclex review 2014 good for studying for your nursing classes?

i have the same book. Some students that passed the nclex PN 2014 told me that it was helpful. i will say it is good to prepare for the nclex PN

Could you use it for classes though? I ordered the book from amazon. It's 13th edition, 1 edition older then the latest one, I hope that it doesn't matter.

I recently graduated PN and the saunders book was good but not for studying in class to me, it breaks it down but not really to understand it until you already know it. (If that makes sense). It's not really at a beginning level. Hesi and Kaplan nclex book were really helpful they were an easy read and it breaks it down to the point. These books will definitely help u study questions that will be similar to the questions you will see on your exams. Hope that helped...

I still say go to a book store and physically look at the books before buying online or anywhere else. This way you can see the format and determine which publishers prep guide might work best for you. Good luck.

I already ordered Saunder's nclex. I hear it's really good. All I need is a book to do lots of questions.

Yes is a good book to study for the nclex I used it. And passed first time with 85 questions which is the minimum for pn. And I passed my exit hesi with a 94%. It's a hard book, so don't be discouraged if ur scores are low, Make sure u read the rationales. Good Luck
