What are some meds the lpn can't give? I know we can't hang blood or do IV push, but can someone expand on some things? Thanks.

Going to vary by state practice acts and facility policy. Best bet is to read your particular state's practice act and know your facility's policies.

What you are permitted to carry out and administer is totally dependent upon the nurse practice act for LPNs in the state where you are licensed.

By the way, LPNs are allowed to administer blood products and IV push medications in the state where I reside. This is a good reason why you must familiarize yourself with the nurse practice act that governs nursing practice for LPNs in the state where you live.
