Hi I am looking into enrolling in neti lpn program. I looked at the Shelton campus. I am thinking of doing the day program and working on the weekends. Is this realistic? Just wondering how much study time is required? My first choice of schools would be Bullard Havens tech which is very cheap compared to neti. However, they are not accepting admissions until 2007 !!! I just don't know where to start..........:Was thinking of trying to wait it out until 2007 but how hard is it to get into Bullard Havens TEch????

NETI, in New Britain is the only program I know. Have you considered RN school too? Capital has a huge waiting list, but Goodwin College in East Hartford doesn't have a waiting list. It is an adult learner geared program, and offeres nights and weekend classes too. Many people like myself work and go to school and do just fine.

Good luck.

I will be graduating 12/20 from NETI. I went to the Hamden campus. To answer your questions, the program is very intense. You will need to study everyday! It is a huge committment of 15 long months of study and clinicals but well worth it. It is expensive - but you will more than likely get a good financial aid package from the government. I did not work during school, I have 3 teens at home plus a husband so I just didn't have the time or energy to work. Luckily I have a great support system, you'll need one. My advice to you is to look into the program. I chose NETI because the state program's have such a long waiting list. My plan for the future is to bridge to an RN program, probably will start in the fall of '06. I am still trying to catch up on the sleep I missed these past 15 months! Good luck to you and send me a email if you need more questions answered. :)

Hi, I graduated in June from a vocational tech school in CT. The cost was 3100 now 3800 but beats 18,000 for neti. It was a great school and prepared me well. I have 2 jobs, I work at a nursing home 16 hrs a week and at a hospital in the ER in minor care 24 hours a week. I love what I do. I know it seems the wait is so long to get into school. Good luck to you. Nancy
