How Do You Prepare Yourself For The Lpn Program Are There Things You Should Study I Took A&p 1 But The School I Am Going To Doesn't Require Pre Reqs So I Should Do Ok Since I Will No Things Already From A&p

Hi I am 32 school days from graduating from a 10 month LPN program. I think A&P class will help you that was the hardest for me. I had never taken that course. As for studying it depends on the program. I would relax and enjoy life before school starts and then focus on what you need to learn when the time comes. I took a CNA class 15 years ago and that was all the medical background i had except what I knew from family sickness etc, and I did fine. Right now we are reviewing and wrapping up our clinical hours I cant believe how much I have learned in such a short time. Med surg was my favorite. In my school that was more of a focus than a&p. Also if medical terminology in not a part of your course I would pick up a book on it, it really helps in the disorders to figure things out.

I had my A&P I & II and Micro before LPN school and it REALLY helped me. I could see a lot of my classmates struggling and working their butts, but because I had already had the classes, I was able to relax a little in first semester.

Its definitely not required, and you can surely do it without them, but it does help.
